Riverboat Ride on the Kentucky River

Though the weather could have been more cooperative,
many of the stitchers took a ride on the Village's sternwheeler.

Some were even brave enough to sit on the top deck!

The Meals

The Shaker Village at Pleasant Hill serves all meals in the building
the Shakers used as the "Trustee's Office."

The hearty food consisted of both traditional Shaker and Kentucky recipes.

The Teachers

The Shop at A Stitcher's Retreat

Note the Shaker peg board on the walls. This is used throughout the Village.

One thing that is consistent at all the retreats I have
ever hosted--stitchers love to shop!
