About Us

2007 marks our tenth year of providing getaways of the highest quality and our 2007 retreat will be the 18th we have held! We are proud of the service we provide to the stitching community. Attending one of our retreats is an investment in yourself. Our getaways are not just classes; they are experiences.

The retreats are always held in unique surroundings. We keep the class sizes small so they will be intimate. We strive to use only teachers who are personable, open, and friendly. We always provide extra entertainment, such as a concert or informative presentation.

Established in 1997 by Randy Turner, husband of needleartist Cecilia Turner of Heart in Hand Needleart, A Stitcher's Retreat has hosted seventeen unique getaways for stitchers in beautiful locations. Three of these locations were in our home state of Ohio: one in Ohio's Amish country, one near the Longaberger Basket Company headquarters, and combination stitching/shopping weekends in greater Cincinnati. We have also hosted retreats in Kentucky, Indiana, Vermont, Washington, and Oregon.

Over the years, our teachers have included Bent Creek, Brightneedle, Charland Designs, Ewe & Eye & Friends, Heart in Hand Needleart, Earth Threads, The Heart's Content, JBW Designs, La-D-Da, Mosey 'n Me, R & R Reproductions, Sheepish Designs, Sisters & Best Friends, The Trilogy, and Twisted Threads.
