The Teachers

We were delighted to have Bent Creek teach for us this year.
Elizabeth Newlin, half of the sister design team of Bent Creek!

The delightful Marsha Worley, the other designer behind Bent Creek.

Lori Markovic of La-D-Da taught for us for the first time this year.
She was incredibly well received by the stitchers.

Elizabeth hard at work.

Marsha was involved in a real first at A Stitcher's Retreat: She actually
custom designed part of the optional class design for each individual
student! Each student told her what they would like to personalize their
design and Marsha designed it right in class!

The Stitchers

Shelley Glockner (L) and Cathy Sheehan (R) brought maple sugar candy for the
goodie bags and a huge basket of maple syrup, candies, sugar and the like as
a door prize! These gifts arranged by Shelley and Cathy were courtesy of their
friends at Hardwick Sugar Shack.

Dani McKain (L) and Pavana Baird (R). Pavana has often provided music during
check-in at some of our previous retreats. Her friend Dani was a first time attendee
who's family owns Coon's Homemade Candies. Dani brought quite a number of
boxes of English chocolate covered toffee to give as doorprizes.

The Shop at A Stitcher's Retreat

The shop before the throngs were let in! The table in the foreground
has A Stitcher's Retreat t-shirts, sweatshirts, and embroidered shirts.

This photo shows the size of the room the shop was housed in. At the back
of the photo are Lori and her husband Bob of La-D-Da. The table in the
center had retreat hand-thrown pottery mugs, easels, and a wonderful sampler
book by Hillside Samplings.

The table on the left leading to La-D-Da's product contained Heart in Hand
product, including a special kit not available to the public. In the foreground is
product from The Trilogy, which also included a special kit not available to the public.

The doors open and the line moves in!

Many of the attendees plan far in advance for the retreat so they can shop to their
heart's content without having to watch their pennies too closely.

The Concert

Tom Scheidt once again gave a fun filled performance. Tom played
various instruments, including the guitar.

As usual, Tom closed with the bagpipes.

Meals

All meals were served in the inn's Bayou Grill.
