An Unbelievable Example of Expert Stitching!

Designer Maureen Appleton with stitcher Dr. Bonnie Taylor holding
"Floral Finesse." Bonnie did a phenomonal job stitching this intricate design from
The Heart's Content. This piece is stitched over one thread on 32 count linen
with 390 colors of DMC floss, which was the entire DMC range
at the time of the design's publication!

The Location

Shaker Village's 800 acres includes endless stone
walls that were built without mortar.

 .

The buildings in the Village generally date from the early 1800's.
