Photos from A Stitcher's Retreat 1999
Photos from the Ohio Amish Country Retreat, May 1999
At our second retreat, the teachers were The Heart's Content, Mosey 'n Me, and Twisted Threads. Unfortunately, no pictures were taken by A Stitcher's Retreat.
For a number of years I thought I would not be able to post any photos from the retreat but I recently ran across a delightful find! At the 1999 retreat, a senior editor of Better Homes and Gardens Cross Stitch & Needlework attended the retreat incognito, not revealing to the other stitchers she was there to write an article until the conclusion of the retreat. The article Stitching Retreats: Treat Yourself appeared in the January/February, 2000 issue, excerpts of which are on our Media Articles Page. The editor had mailed me a copy of all the photos she had taken. I recently ran across the envelope full of photos and am now glad to share them! Enjoy!

Craft Class
Proof that Frank Bielec of Mosey n' Me was
crafty before his Trading
Spaces fame!

Frank taught a craft class in which attendees painted a
frame with such high tech "brushes"
as pencil erasers.
